Any of the kits that come with the KLP2 or KLP6 only have up to 2” punches and dies. Can larger punches and dies be used?
No. Using the larger diameter punches and dies will overload the driver and cause driver failure. This is not covered under warranty. For any hole punching over 2″ we recomend our Slug-Out Knockout Mechanical Driver, the KOMD1. This unit can punch 1/2″ to 4″ holes.
What is the largest Stainless Steel punch we have?
We only have the Stainless Steel punches up to 2”. Our super stainless steel Slug-Out set creates holes from 7/8″ to 2-3/8″. The part number for this kit is KSS520.
Do we have any parts for the KOR12 or KW52 ratchet systems?
We do not have any replacement parts for KOR14 or KW52.
Are there any replacement parts for the older SP-5 or SP-6 stud punches?
We currently do not have any replacement parts for any of the stud punches.
Are there any replacement parts for the KLP2 or KLP6?
We only carry a seal kit for the KLP2 (KLP2K2) because most of the small parts in the KLP2 are common replacement parts. The KLP6 has the (KLP6K1) repair kit.
What do I need for punching larger holes?
If using the KOM350 or KOM400, the drive screw that is included with the kit (KS3540) is large enough so that the KC3540 is not needed. But for other applications a KC3540 converter needs to be used when using a cylinder/driver to punch a hole on any 3 ½” or 4” punches with the KPR7540 draw stud.
Do GB punches work with other manufacturers parts?
Yes, most of our Hole Making product line is interchangeable with other knockout kits on the market.
What type of material do your punches work with?
Our standard hole punches do up to 10 gauge mild steel or 12 gauge stainless steel. These will not work on I-beams. Our Super Stainless Steel Slug Out punches will punch up to 8 gauge mild and 10 gauge stainless steel. For I-beams, use the SP3500.
