All Rigid electrical conduit is schedule 40 in wall thickness. When inquiries are made on schedule 40 “tubing or pipe” it’s best to ask if they are referring to plumbing tubing, stainless steel tubing, or black iron pipe. Occasionally customer define schedule 40 differently than others and want to bend these other materials as opposed to electrical conduit. Our benders will handle schedule 40 only if it is MILD steel intended for electrical installations. The others are normally galvanized with made the material more stiff and rigid and can cause damage to the material being bent, the bender, or the end user.
