When bending PVC-Coated Rigid with the B2000 Cyclone bender you will need to use the EMT side and always use the next size up to bend it. The B2000 can only bend up to 1-1/2″ PVC Coated Rigid. So when trying to bend 1-1/2″ PVC Coated Rigid you’ll want to use the EMT side and the 2″ size in order to bend this conduit. Cleaning the shoe and conduit with rubbing alcohol is also recommended for bending the PVC-Coated Rigid so that it does not attempt to grab the coating material.
Failure to follow these guidelines will cause the conduit to kink and/or flatten. In some instances it will also cause the bending shoe to peal the coating off of the conduit.
